DERIVE THE CREATOR’S IDEAS WITH PAINTING SKILL

　　Born in Beijing on November 26 th 1944,MR.CuiRuzhuo taught in the Central Academy of Art and Design in the nations capital before emigrating to the United States of America in 1981.He was appointed vice president of the Institute of Advanced Studies of Chinese Art in New York and worked as a visiting professor at Jon Dewey University, where in1984 he was awarded an honorary Doctor of Arts degree. He is now the chairman of the Hong Kong Cui Ruzhuo Art Foundation.

　　Mr.Cuis works have won many awards at international exhibitions .A large numbers of celebrities have collected his works, including former US president Ronald Reagan; former US Secretary of State Dr. Henry Kissinger; Ms.Anna C.Chennault, Chairwoman of the Council for International cooperation; US Senator John G. Tower from Texas; Ms. You-lan Wang, former President of World Daily News, USA; members of the Thai royal family; Madame Chiang Kai-shek (Soong Mei-ling); andDr. Yung-ching Wang, and entrepreneur from Taiwan.Mr.Cuis painting “DoubleEagles”was presented to Senior Singapore Minister Lee Kean Yew by former Vice Premier Gu Mu. Many of Mr.Cuis works are in the collections of the Great Hall of the People and Diaoyutai State Guest House. Dozens of Asian, European and American museums and universities have collected his works.

　　Mr.Cui captures the essence of nature in his ink washes, and through his use of light and dark colors in his ink paintings. His large, freehandpaintings of flowers are bold and unconstrained, the colors carefree and full of vitality. His paintings incorporate the boundless changes of nature.

　　Mr.Cuis”black ink landscape” technique is superb. His ink colours are rich and dynamic and his work always offers unique artistic features.

　　In recent years, Mr.Cui has visited many museums and art galleries all over the world, and he knows the important position traditional Chinese painting holds in the world of arts. Although he now lives in America, he has long studied the effect of esthetic values and national consciousness on the evolution of the arts. He has created an art school of his own based on traditional Chinese ink painting.
