Spring Auction of Council Company ended at 3th,June, six special performances sold on RMB3.4 billion in two days , refreshed some records in China auction market. Most attractive of this spring auction were three special performances “power of words ”--- China calligraphy and seal cutting, “gate of the great master”----- Qi baishi’s painting, calligraphy and seal cutting, “wonderful statue of Bodhisattva ”---- ancient Buddhism art works, they created outstanding records without people’s expectation.

The biggest spotlight of the spring auction is the special performance “power of words ”--- China calligraphy and seal cutting with special affects and hot scene. Wen zhengming’s running script was collected into 'Shi Qu Bao Ji' and sold on RMB 1,111 thousand yuan, became the most expensive calligraphy of Ming Dynasty. The percent of business is about 88%, and thrilled the dull calligraphy market in the recent years.

Special performances of ancient and modern painting sweep off slack business situation last year. Most works sold by several bids. Most attractive painting 'Xinling landscape' by Huang binghong is not very big and bargain on RMB 1485 thousand yuan. The percent of business is about 83%, and predict that China calligraphy and painting market have warmed gradually.

Recently Contemporary art market is hot. Special performance of oil painting and sculpture has achieved remarkable achievements: 'Mask' by Zeng fanzhi sold on RMB 935 thousand yuan, 'Rainbow' bargin on RMB 286 thousand yuan after over 10 times bidding and created the highest record of Xiang jing’s price. This special performance got about two times higher volume of business than the prediction, and handed on a satisfied reply to the hot market.
