Zhao Wuji’s Oil Painting on Sale in the Internet First Show to Public in Toronto

In the online auction of Heffel, a large-sized oil painting “5.11.62” of well-known Chinese artist Zhao Wuji was showed to the public of Toronto. This masterpiece finished in 1962 and this is the first time for it to be displayed in an auction.
The auction will end on April 28. It is reported that the estimate of the painting was 400,000 CAD to 600.000 CAD.
Heffel expressed that now the art market of Asia was the most vigorous, added with the development of internet, buyer from Canada, America, Europe and Asia all can bid for the masterwork. In recent years, the thirst for modern works and the Paris school that Zhao Wuji represented both account for the high price of his paintings.
