《蝴蝶泉》

《蝴蝶泉》不一定是我最满意的作品，但我刚画完，正兴奋，有一些感受是不同以征的，这幅画是一个被污染的水畔，离我的工作室不远，但不经意谁也不会知道我画的就是那里，因为那里太普通，太肮脏了，就是一个臭水沟。但我想象那里本来不会是这个样子，和其它地方一样，有她自有的美丽和动人故事，因此我画她时充满了想象，好像有一段不知是谁唱的歌，只有一名：“她曾经来过……余音不断。

“Butterfly Springs” is not necessarily the most satisfactory work of mine. In the excitement upon finishing the painting, however, I have felt something totally fresh. The painting is about a polluted body of water not far from my studio. But no spectator will immediately associate it with the image on my canvas, After all, it’s too ordinary and filthy, no better than a stinking gutter. I imagine, however, it must have been a prettier place than that. There might even be a beautiful and touching story about it. It was with such mental images that I depicted it on the canvas. It reminds me of the lingering line of a certain song, which goes, “she has been here.”
