阵中叫阵----当代艺术家肖像三
他有他特殊的张力,不纤细不文弱,甚至有点儿粗鲁,如重锤击鼓,有时候令人难以忍受……需要有相应的气质来欣赏,我相信他的欣赏者不太多。邓箭今的画既不靠造型取胜,也不靠色彩取胜,是靠画面的整体气氛赢得喝彩……如果换一个人,借邓的色彩、造型,再模拟他的用笔,一定是难看无比了,而原汁原味的邓箭今却令我们赞许，证明画如其人，人如其画的古老原则不会改变……

He has special tension, not thin or frail, even rude, like the intolerable sound of a heavy hammer beat… It requires the proper temperature to enjoy. I believe that there are few persons enjoy him. The success of Deng Jianjin’s painting depends neither on shape nor on color, but it depends on the whole atmosphere of the pictures… If another one uses Deng’s color, shape and imitates his strokes, it must be very ugly. In addition, Deng Jianjin makes us praise. It proves that the unchangeable age-old principle, “painting looks like its painter, painter looks like his painting.”
