田晓磊作品自述

　　About the subject animals in the paintings, some come from the Chinese traditional culture, such as the giant tortoises bearing the mountains. In the Chinese legend of ancient times the world where we live is one of the numerous mountains, there are many other worlds with us. Some are associations in the life, such as the big mosquitoes in the paintings, my inspiration comes from oil drilling platform, which greedyly absorbs energy from Earth, and so on.Each piece of work is a small island of Utopia, on which I'm looking for a world of interest.

　　I imagine that "death" is a living plant which grows and spreads in "birth". I imagine "death" is more beautiful than "birth", "death" is the rebirth of a beautiful butterfly, "birth" is the cocoon the bounds it tightly, "death" will germinate, grow, blossom, yield fruit and wither. "Birth" may be the real "death".

　　我的作品是以三维动画为手段展开制作的，在现实世界中造梦不易，在电脑中却给我了上帝般的自由，有些造物主的快感，唯有不停的加入想象力构建虚拟的世界。我不喜欢炫耀技术手段，只是用适合的技术表现适合的内容。我更感兴趣作品给人带来的思考，因为思考给人带来的乐趣更加长久。我的作品灵感一部分来自我的生活经验，一部分来自我对未知的事物的胡乱猜想，把他们扭曲变形，在电脑中糅合成新的世界，按照我设定的规则“合理”的存在着，乐在其中。

　　My work is based on the three dimensional animation. Being a dream architect is not easy in the real world, computer techonology make it come ture for me to enjoy the freedom of God, to enjoy the pleasure of being the Creator, and keeps adding imagination to build a virtual world. Not for show off, I am just using the most appropriate technology for the content. I am more interested in the impact to human thinking brought by my work, as the fun comes from thinking exists longer. My inspiration comes from my own life experience as well as from my wild random thoughts to the unknown things. I get those ideas distorted and blended into the new world that stored in the computer, and being existed by the 'reasonable' rules set by myselfe. I enjoy this.
